Culinary Arts Education Study Program, Faculty of Technology and Vocational Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) agreed to sign a joint cooperation agreement in the fields of education, research, and community services. The collaboration includes with the V Hotel & Residence Bandung, as a hotel for young people, with the spirit of youth and fresh ideas. The founder built a hotel that is not only a building, but can also be used as a home for the youth guests and tourists. It is located at Jl. Terusan Sutami III No.1A Bandung. The Indonesian Chef Association (ICA) BPD JABAR which is an association of people who work as chefs in Indonesia, was first formed on 24 April 2007, as well as with the Panghegar LPT Campus, previously known as the Indonesian Institute of Applied Education (LPTI) under the management of the Bina Pendidikan Indonesia Foundation, which consists of Education Experts and several Owners of PT. Panghegar also joined the cooperation. This agreement signed at the lobby of FPTK UPI, Jalan Dr. Setiabudi Number 207 Bandung, Thursday (01/10/2020).
The dean Prof. Dr. Mokh. Syaom Barliana, M.Pd., M.T, explained that this agreement aims to implement the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely education/training or internship, research, and community service, and other field cooperation. Each agency agreed to always cooperate in the fields of education, research, and community services.
The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Iwa Kuntadi, M.Pd., Deputy Dean for Finance and Resources, Dr. Dedy Suryadi, S.Pd., M.Pd., Head of the Department of Family Welfare Education, Dr. Hj. Sri Subekti, M.Pd., Head of Catering Education Study Program, Dr. Yulia Rahmawati, M.Sc., HCM V Hotel & Residence Bandung, Yayat Hidayat, Chairman of ICA BPD West Java, Anton Kuswendi, Director of LPT Panghegar, Zul Ikhwan also attended the event.
