The Community Service Team for the Family Welfare Education Study Program, Faculty of Technology and Vocational Education, University of Education of Indonesia (P2M PKK FPTK UPI) consists of Dr. Hj. Isma Widiaty, S.Pd., M.Pd., Dr. Hj. Yani Achdiani, M.Si., Dr. Ana, M.Pd, Mirna Purnama Ningsih, S.Pd., M.Pd. and involving four PKK undergraduate students in collaboration with SMKN 14 Bandung organized Batik digital media training for batik skills teachers at Vocational High Schools (SMK) on Friday (06/11/20).
This community service activity entitled "Digital Batik Media Training Based on the Four_Lima Zero Curriculum (Elinol Curriculum)", is important to do to prepare future generations in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0 and 5.0 which is marked by the use of digital media, especially in the learning process at this time, " Dr. Hj. Isma Widiaty, S.Pd., M.Pd., Head of the P2M Team, explained.
"The content about the local wisdom value of batik when presented in a millennial digital packaging is expected to be more attractive, specifically for the younger generation. Through this activity, teachers as the learning leader are trained to have skills in the design and implementation of digital media in the classroom., while the digital media for batik which is implemented in community service activities is the Iconic Batik Digital Learning Media (Digi_Learnik) as the output of previous year's research from the P2M team, " continued Isma.
"This batik digital media training begins with an introduction to the digital media used. After that, the training participants are given the digital media application to simulate its use. With this activity, hopefully it will be useful as well as a form of joint effort to preserve one of the cultural heritages, namely batik, "concluded Isma.
This activity was welcomed by SMKN 14 Bandung, as a partner. SMKN 14 Bandung is the only vocational school in Bandung that has a batik expertise program (1 in 2 SMKs in West Java which focuses on batik skills). In his remarks, representatives from SMKN 14 Bandung, Ali Supojo Putro, S.Pd., M.Ds expressed his gratitude for his trust and the opportunity to participate in this training activity.
