UPI COMPETITIVE BUMI SILIWANGI TEAM ACHIEVE INTERNATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS

Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia's Competitive Bumi Siliwangi Team finally achieved international recognition as the third-place winner in the urban electricity category in the Shell Eco-Marathon activity, which was held on 11-15 October 2022 at Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
This Shell Eco-Marathon competition was held in Indonesia for the first time. The Shell Eco-Marathon is a competition in which students from all over the world compete to design and build the most energy-efficient vehicles. This is to address future energy challenges while also realizing smarter and more sustainable vehicle technology.
The Shell Eco-Marathon in 2022 was attended by 49 students from 11 Asia Pacific and Middle East countries, including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, South Korea, India, Kazakhstan, and Nepal.
At the Shell Eco-Marathon in 2022, the Bumi Siliwangi Electricity Urban Team, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), achieved a 98 km/kWh distance. This accomplishment was achieved through preparations and exercises carried out by the Bumi Siliwangi Team long before departure. The prize and award ceremony will take place on October 15, 2022, at 16.00 WITA on the Mandalika Circuit podium.
The UPI Competitive Bumi Siliwangi Team is made up of 14 students, led by Rheihanita Noer Aprilia. "Thank you for the support that has been given by the UPI academic community, especially for all leaders from the UPI level to the Program of Study level," said Rhei, as he is affectionately known, for this accomplishment.
