Program of Study Logistics Engineering Organizes Focus Group Discussion with Vocational High Schools and Logistics Industry Practitioners

Bandung, July 26, 2023. The Logistics Engineering Study Program at the Faculty of Engineering Education and Teacher Training of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) organized a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with representatives from Vocational High Schools (SMK). The SMK representatives were Lia Sukmayanti, S.T. from SMKN 1 Garut and Rindi Astuti, S.E., M.M. from SMKN 4 Malang, along with Dr. Edi Supriadi, S.E., MM., AAAIK., MILT., CPFF., who is the Vice Rector II of ULBI and also a practitioner with 15 years of experience in the logistics industry. 

This FGD is part of a research activity led by Vina Dwiyanti, M.Pd., together with Hanissa Okitasari, S.T., M.Sc. The topic for this FGD is related to inventory control, and it was conducted online.

Inventory control becomes one of the topics included in the optional subjects that can be developed. The research team from the Logistics Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering Education and Teacher Training at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) collaborates with vocational high school teachers and industry practitioners to develop an interactive e-module for the inventory control topic. This FGD (Focus Group Discussion) serves as the initial step in determining the requirements for writing the e-module that is relevant to the industry's conditions and suitable for the characteristics of the participants, who belong to the Generation Z category.
