The Faculty of Technology and
Vocational Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (FPTK UPI), held the Eco
Vocational School for Sustainable Development (EVOSD) 2.1 Summer Course Program
2021 on Thursday 9 September 2021 (9/9/2021).
As a Vice-Dean for Student Affairs,
Dr. Ana, M.Pd with Nenden Rani Rinekasari, S.P., M. Pd. who served as a
lecturer in the Family Welfare Education Study Program, initiated this event.
The proposal was designed with the team through a reasonably long proposal
submission process, namely Muktiarni, S.P. M. Pd (lecturer of the Catering
Education Study Program) and Muhamad Rafi, S.Pd. This program received the
approval of DIA UPI to be held in collaboration with FPTK UPI, DIA UPI, ASSEEE,
RAVTE, and UPI partners.
The Opening Ceremony hosted by Isma
Nur Afifah and Bella Az Zahra Krisnoputri, both registered as students at the
UPI FPTK, took place with an exciting concept. The event, virtually using the
Zoom Meeting platform, was opened with remarks by the UPI Rector via video. The
Director of the Directorate of International Affairs (DIA) at the Indonesian
University of Education and the Secretary of the Regional Association of Vocational
and Technical Education (RAVTE) also gave their remarks at the event. Then, the
Vice-Rector for Education and Student Affairs gave a speech and, at the same
time, officially opened this program. Not to forget, the remarks from the Mayor
of Bandung gave positive reinforcement for the implementation of this

Dr. Ana, M.Pd., as the Head of the
Program, welcomes all invitees and participants at the Eco Vocational School
for Sustainable Development or EVOSD 2.1 event. "Thank you to all parties
involved for their extraordinary support and coordination so that this event
can take place," she said.
In his report, the head of the
program said that the EVOSD Summer Course Program 2021 presented participants
from 10 countries, consisting of 20 participants from Indonesia, 5 participants
from Malaysia, 22 participants from Thailand, 6 participants from Laos, 4
participants from Vietnam, 5 participants from the Philippines, 2 participants
from Columbia, 1 participant from China, 1 participant from Cambodia, 29
participants from India. She believes that participants will discuss and collaborate
with enthusiasm in addressing vocational education and sustainable development
in this program.

Eco-Vocational School for Sustainable Development in Industrial Revolution 4.0.
On the last day of the program, we will hold the ASEAN Symposium for Science,
Engineering, Economic, and Education (ASSEEE 2021) for participants to present
their works and bright ideas. Hopefully, at the end of this program, we can all
make new friendships have a wider network, a better academic presence, and a
better understanding in many fields," she concluded.
UPI Rector, Prof. Dr. H. M.
Solehuddin, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for the participants' enthusiasm
to involve themselves in many positive activities, including the 2021 EVOSD
Summer Course Program. "UPI creates new opportunities to have an
international platform that transcends the barriers of time and space. It is an
honor for me to be here and see young people from various countries gather and
develop together," he said.
In his speech, the Dean of FPTK UPI,
Dr. Iwa Kuntadi, M.Pd., said that the 2021 EVOSD Summer Course Program is an
excellent opportunity for students to increase their understanding of education
and sustainable development. This program can also improve writing skills and
create networks with students from various countries. "Even though you are
in the middle of a pandemic, I am sure you are still excited to be a part of
this program. I hope you can take part in the 2021 EVOSD Summer Course Program
with a positive mindset and make the most of this experience," said Iwa.
In his remarks, the Director of the
Directorate of International Affairs (DIA) UPI, Ahmad Bukhori Muslim, Ph.D.
said that even though the pandemic had hit almost two years, the summer program
could still be held online. "This year, even in a pandemic, we are holding
as many as 15 Summer Programs spread across Faculties and Regional Campuses
within UPI. Through the Summer Program, we want to promote the uniqueness of
Indonesia. Even though the program is held virtually in a pandemic, we hope
that participants can play an active role in the process.
On the same occasion, the Mayor of
Bandung, Oded M Danial, said that Vocational High School or SMK, consisting of
various skills such as Tourism, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
The 2021 Summer Course Program activities organized by FPTK UPI will be held
for the next three months with participants from various countries. Hopefully,
this 2021 EVOSD Summer Course Program can be followed by participants with joy.
"Welcome to the City of Bandung virtually, visit the City of Bandung one
day," said the Mayor of Bandung City, Oded, when closing his remarks.
On this occasion, the Vice-Rector
for Education and Student Affairs of UPI, Prof. Dr. H. Didi Sukyadi, MA,
officially opened the event and welcomed the EVOSD 2021 event organized by UPI.
Although it was held virtually, this was an excellent opportunity to increase
networks and share knowledge from ASEAN countries and other countries. others
in the world. "It is very appropriate to discuss Sustainable Development.
The goal is not only for one country but for all countries in the world because
if we live in a world without considering the sustainability aspect, it will be
dangerous for human life in the universe," he said.
At the end of his speech, Prof. Didi
said: "It is essential to consider the sustainability aspect, whatever our
daily activities, inhabits, in business, in education and others. A simple
example of sustainability is daily activities such as using toothpaste,
managing waste and using water in our daily lives. This idea is essential for
the sustainability of our generation."
The event continued with video
screenings of Indonesia tourism (Cultural Promotion), West Java Tourism,
Entertainment from Kabumi UPI, talks with KABUMI, Summer Program Guidance
delivered by Ana Ramdani Sari, S.Pd., M.Plan., and introductions to the group
facilitators to the participants include Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alias Masek from
Tun Hussein Onn University Malaysia, Brando Cabigas Razon, Ph.D., and Crizjale
Ahmad, Ph.D from Sultan Kudarat State University Philippines, Jonah Mupita,
M.Pd, Ruya Adventist High Zimbabwe, and from the University of Indonesia
Education consists of Dr. Nia Nafisah, S.S., M.Pd, Dr. Mustika Nuramalia
Handayani, S.TP., M.Pd., Roer Eka Pawinanto, S.Pd., M.Sc., Ph.D., Haipan Salam,
M.Si.., Ph.D., Apri Wiyono, S.Pd., MT, Vina Dwiyanti, M.Pd, Muktiarni, M.Pd.,
and Risti Ragadhita, S.Pd.
The event continued with a Q and A
Session with participants, Entertainment (Video from the UPI Student Choir),
Talks with PSM UPI. The event closed with a group photo session and
announcements made by the Committee.
